About Mutton Korma

Today we will talk about the dish without which Mughlai cuisine is incomplete, its name is Korma. Korma is cooked with mutton, beef and chicken. But the method of making it is almost the same. Here we are going to tell you how to make Mutton Korma. This is such a simple method by which you can easily prepare it at home. So let’s start, the method of making Shahi Mutton Korma.

Ingredients

Mutton 500 g

Vegetable Oil 150 ml

Yogurt 125 g

Onion 100 g or 3 medium pcs

Makhana- 1 tablespoon

Ginger Garlic Paste-1 Tablespoon

Garam Masala ½ Teaspoon

Cumin Seeds ½ Teaspoon

Clove- 5 pcs

Black Cardamom- 1 pcs

Green Cardamom 4 pcs

Bay leaves- 3 Leaves

Grated Coconut(Burada)- 1 Tablespoon

Melon seeds(Magaz) grated-1 Teaspoon

Red Chili Powder 1 Teaspoon

Coriander Powder- 1 Tablespoon

Turmeric Powder- ½ Teaspoon

Salt-To Taste

 for Garnishing :-

Chop Green Coriander

Mutton Korma    Making Metod

1-First of all, heat oil in a vessel and add chopped onion and makhana in it and after stirring it, brown it and keep it aside.

2-Now in the same vessel or pressure cooker, add whole garam masala, mutton, red chilli, coriander, turmeric, curd, ginger garlic paste, salt and one cup water and cook on high flame till three whistles come.

3-When the mutton is cooked upto 80% then do not cook it under pressure, now cook it till the oil separates and comes to the top.

4-Grind the roasted onion, grated coconut, melon seeds (magaz) together in a mixer and mix them in the cooking mutton korma. Add one cup of milk and cook while stirring well.

5-If the gravy is thick then dilute it with water as per your liking. When the meat melts and the oil separates, add kewda water, garam masala powder, reduce the flame and cover it and keep it for 3 or 4 minutes so that the aroma stays inside. Keep it off the flame for 2 more minutes. Your delicious aromatic Mutton Korma is ready.

Garnish and serve

For serving, take it out in a plate, add finely chopped coriander and chopped green chillies and serve with hot naan or yeast bread.
